About Maxx Urban Towns 2, Pickering

Maxx Urban Towns is a new townhouse project by Trillium Housing & VanMar Developments and is currently in pre-construction. The new project will be located at 2635 William Jackson Drive in Pickering. The major intersection is Brock Road & Taunton Road. Maxx Urban Towns will be a collection of 264 stacked town units. Units will be a mix of two bedroom layout, two bedroom plus den layout and three bedroom layout. Units will range from 784 square feet to about 1,367 square feet. Units start from the mid $400’s. The estimated completion date for Maxx Urban Towns is set for November 2021. This 1.74 hectare low-rise development will comprise of 13 three-storey stacked townhouses containing 264 living units, each of which can be accessed using a publicly-accessible private road and pedestrian walkways. Townhouse blocks will be grouped by their room layouts; seven buildings will be exclusively reserved for 3-bedroom units, while the rest will contain only 1 and 2-bedroom units. To reduce the impact on the environment, most of the complexes’ parking space has been moved underground. Out of its 405 total parking spots, only 16 will be placed above ground; meanwhile, the complex will also provide parking space for some 264 bicycles. As a brand new community, Dufferin Heights doesn’t have much to show for at the present. Largely dependent on the use of a car, residents here need to drive 6 minutes south to Kingston Road to reach the closest retail area, or 8 minutes to Pickering Town Centre and the city’s downtown core. And yet, these places only suggest at the future amenities that will make this neighbourhood anything but a sleepy bedroom community. Existing commercial services include a farmers market, a landscape supplier, a golf course, and a driving range. However, the area’s main road, Brock Road, is set to become a high-density mixed-use transit corridor as future infrastructure projects are built, welcoming with them more residents.
